The probe is using for extracting the sample that represents the process line and is a very important part between the process line and the sampling and analyzer system.

In designing and manufacturing probes, various factors such as pressure, fluid velocity, process line diameter are effective and are very important in calculations. Using these parameters, calculations such as wake frequency are performed to determine the appropriate length of the probe. Obviously, the length of the probe has an effect on the best and correct sampling point.

Among other parameters in sampling probes according to the sample specification, the probe is heated or not heated. In cases where there is a possibility of two-phase gas sample at the sampling point, heated probes are used.
